Role Overview
The Warehouse Assistant II plays an essential role in ensuring smooth operations within DHL’s warehouse facilities. The position involves handling, sorting, storing, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently. Working under supervision, the Warehouse Assistant supports inbound and outbound processes while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming goods, verify shipments, and inspect items for quality and condition.
- Label, sort, and store goods efficiently, optimizing warehouse space utilization.
- Pack and prepare items for shipment according to customer specifications and transport requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movement and update inventory systems.
- Operate scanners and forklifts (after obtaining certification) for loading and unloading materials.
- Support the coordination of daily pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Handle routine documentation related to shipment processing, status updates, and payments.
- Collaborate with the customer service and sales teams to resolve shipment-related issues.
- Adhere to DHL’s safety protocols and operational procedures at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Vocational/Technical certification in logistics, warehousing, or a related field.
- Experience: Less than 2 years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Skills: Attention to detail, teamwork, time management, and basic computer literacy.
