Job Overview
The Store Supervisor will report directly to the Manager – Stores & Logistics and play a critical role in managing day-to-day store operations, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations. This position involves close coordination with the Technical Maintenance team, Compliance & Quality departments, and Corporate Safety to uphold operational integrity and efficiency within Etihad Airways’ technical stores.
Key Responsibilities
As a Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of technical store operations. Your duties will include:
- Managing all technical bonded stores-related activities, including spares segregation, storage conditions, and control of aircraft parts, equipment, and technical materials in compliance with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) regulations.
- Evaluating and improving existing methods, procedures, and policies to maintain high standards in storekeeping.
- Supervising 24/7 store operations and ensuring sufficient manpower allocation to support ongoing maintenance activities.
- Managing tool store functions to ensure efficient control and availability of tools required for aircraft maintenance checks.
- Conducting physical stock checks, ensuring timely reconciliation, and managing customer inventory with precision.
- Promoting safety awareness among staff, encouraging the reporting of unsafe acts, and adhering to Safety and Quality Manual procedures.
This role is crucial to maintaining Etihad’s operational excellence by ensuring that the right tools and materials are always available to support aircraft maintenance and operational reliability.
Education and Experience Requirements
To qualify for the Store Supervisor role at Etihad Airways, candidates should possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably in aircraft maintenance stores and logistics, with at least some supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of technical manuals, aviation spare parts management, and familiarity with ERP systems (preferably AMOS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment under demanding conditions.
