As a Customer Service Representative, the jobholder will serve as the primary point of contact for Borouge external customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient order handling, documentation, and communication. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage customer relationships effectively.


Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as the main liaison between customers and internal departments for all order-related activities.
  • Handle customer feedback, inquiries, and complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage communications regarding accounts receivable and financial issues.
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements to customer service systems and processes.

2. Sales Order Handling

  • Receive and process purchase orders from customers or the sales team and initiate the Order-to-Cash (OTC) process.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product information, proforma invoices, shipping details, and product availability.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in order confirmation and documentation.

3. Shipment Tracking and Support

  • Coordinate material availability and allocations among the sales team to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise with supply chain teams, logistics partners, and banks to meet delivery timelines.
  • Prepare required export documentation such as Certificates of Origin and other certificates from relevant authorities.
  • Inform customers of any order or delivery deviations.

4. Collection and Documentation

  • Manage order processing based on different payment terms such as Letters of Credit or cash advances.
  • Ensure prompt invoicing and distribution of shipping documents to facilitate timely payments.
  • Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping (both digital and physical) as per ADNOC’s policies and local legal requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3–7 years in a customer service environment, ideally within the petrochemical or industrial sector.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and MS Office applications.
    • Basic knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Customer-oriented mindset with keen attention to detail.
    • Team player with flexibility and cultural awareness.
    • Fluency in English and local languages is required.

Knowledge of export documentation, government regulations, and international trade processes will be an added advantage.
