🛠️ Key Responsibilities
The Storekeeper will oversee a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Receiving deliveries and reconciling them with purchase orders.
- Tracking, documenting, and resolving discrepancies in received orders.
- Updating and maintaining the facility’s inventory system with accurate records of receipts, adjustments, and returns.
- Monitoring stock levels to ensure supplies remain within established minimum and maximum levels.
- Handling picking, pricing, labeling, and returning of supplies.
- Coordinating stock rotation and overseeing the disposal of surplus items.
- Managing the movement of equipment, freight handling, and minor repairs.
- Building and maintaining supplier relations while upholding high ethical standards.
- Creating purchase orders and handling low-value procurement activities with purchasing cards.
- Ensuring proper return of canceled or damaged items to suppliers.
- Using CAFM software to manage store-related tasks efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, including VAT compliance.
This position requires strong attention to detail, a technical mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors and staff.
🎓 Qualifications and Skills Required
Candidates applying for this position should meet the following requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (a degree/diploma in business or a related field is an advantage).
- Training: Courses in space management, inventory management, and CMMS/CAFM systems.
- Experience: At least 7 years in Supply Chain or related fields (10+ years preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge and an understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Proven organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Previous experience in retail or inventory management, preferably in a facilities or maintenance environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, handle transactions, and manage budgets.
- A valid UAE driving license is required.
