Role Overview: Warehouse Helper

The Warehouse Helper supports daily warehouse functions, including receiving shipments, organizing stock, picking and packing items, and preparing outbound orders. This role ensures that inventory is well-maintained and that products reach the stores and customers quickly and accurately.

This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Warehouse Helpers work closely with supervisors and play an essential role in supporting BFL’s overall supply chain.


Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inbound Operations

  • Assist in unloading shipments arriving from transport vehicles or suppliers.
  • Check item quantities and conditions and report any discrepancies.
  • Label, sort, and store incoming items in their designated locations.
  • Support documentation processes by completing receiving forms accurately.

Picking, Packing & Outbound Operations

  • Pick items from storage based on store requisitions, transfers, or online orders.
  • Pack and prepare items safely to avoid damage during transit.
  • Help load outbound shipments following the delivery schedule.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of store stock requirements.

Inventory Management

  • Participate in periodic stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly).
  • Keep warehouse shelves organized and clean.
  • Report damaged, missing, or excess items promptly.
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO stock rotation procedures as required.

Warehouse Housekeeping & Safety

  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Use equipment such as pallet jacks, trolleys, ladders, and scanners responsibly.
  • Follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
  • Report accidents, hazards, or unsafe activities immediately.

Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor

  • Complete tasks assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor based on daily priorities.
  • Help reorganize storage areas to maximize space.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • High school certificate or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail operations.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Basic communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Attention to detail and reliability.
