🚛 About the Role
The Warehouse Storekeeper position is a key operational role within the Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate receiving, storage, issuing, and inventory control of materials across a wide range of categories, including food and beverage items, merchandise, technical equipment, and zoological assets. Attention to detail, accountability, and safety awareness are essential in this role.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Receive goods and verify deliveries against purchase orders using a three-way matching process
- Perform quality checks including expiry dates, temperature, weight, and packaging condition
- Store materials correctly in dry, chiller, or freezer areas based on product requirements
- Issue materials according to approved requisitions and work orders, following FEFO practices
- Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records
- Update inventory data in systems such as Eatec or Maximo
- Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, thermometers) safely and efficiently
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP and ADFCA food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within warehouse areas
- Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
✅ Education, Experience, and Skills Required
Essential Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse or supply chain operations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems such as Eatec, Maximo, or Oracle Fusion
- Hands-on experience using warehouse machinery (forklift, electric pallet jack, reach truck)
- Knowledge of HACCP and ADFCA food safety compliance
