Position Overview: Storekeeper
The Storekeeper plays a vital role in the company’s daily operations by ensuring all materials, tools, and products are received, recorded, stored, and distributed efficiently. This position requires a high level of organization, accuracy, and reliability to maintain smooth workflow processes within the supply chain.
As a Storekeeper at Central Tents, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values efficiency, attention to detail, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, tools, and products.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of all inventory items for easy retrieval.
- Maintain accurate stock records using store management software (e.g., ERP, SAP, or Tally).
- Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical and system stock levels.
- Monitor stock usage and prepare purchase requests when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store area, adhering to company policies.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to coordinate stock updates and reorder levels.
- Follow all health, safety, and quality control procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Handle inventory documentation and ensure accuracy in all stock movement records.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Inventory Clerk, or Warehouse Assistant.
- Proficiency in store management software (ERP systems, SAP, Tally, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) for data entry and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
