Job Purpose
The Sales Support Agent plays a critical role in delivering a high standard of customer service while supporting the onboarding of new customers as account holders with SkyCargo, in association with IATA CASS accreditation. The position ensures that systems and processes are correctly aligned to bill freight and optional charges accurately, in accordance with agreed tariff rates. This role sits at the intersection of customer service, revenue assurance, and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Commercial Support
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service to freight forwarders and agents
- Manage the commercial support mailbox, addressing customer requests, billing disputes, and service-related queries
- Assist customers during onboarding and account setup processes
Revenue & Billing Coordination
- Coordinate with EK Revenue Accounts to manage AWB stock ranges and ensure timely release of AWB stocks to agents
- Reconcile daily cash and card collection reports, including import, export, and miscellaneous sales, and share reports with the EK Finance team
- Track and record additional or optional services such as ATA trucking, relabelling, and packing fees, ensuring correct billing as per tariff
Reporting & Compliance
- Run daily COU AWB movement reports and bill ULD pivot weight charges for shipments using dedicated ULDs
- Perform weekly quality checks on AWB reverification reports and address discrepancies with the central AWB verification team
- Verify waivers and refunds related to freight charges and cash/card transactions, recovering charges where approvals are missing
Process Support & Approvals
- Assist in raising waivers, service recovery cases, and manual CCAs
- Submit approval requests through email, SkyConnect, and SkyChain
- Maintain accurate records for tracking and audit purposes
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the air cargo industry at a team leader level or equivalent
- Strong background in cargo operations and customer service
- In-depth knowledge of Air Cargo Tariffs, IATA/FIATA regulations, and import/export rules
- Familiarity with SkyCargo systems, policies, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools
- A solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and creative thinking abilities
