🧳 Job Overview: Porter – EKAS
As a Porter in the Emirates Airport Services division, you’ll play a hands-on role ensuring passengers, cargo, and baggage are handled safely and efficiently. This is a front-line, physically active role where professionalism, attention to detail, and safety awareness are key.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
General Duties at DXB/DWC:
- Load and unload passenger baggage and cargo shipments at designated zones.
- Handle goods with care, follow proper tagging procedures, and report any damage or safety issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring timely delivery of luggage and equipment.
Airport-Specific Tasks:
- Distribute and collect airport trolleys and baby strollers at various points.
- Inspect and report damaged equipment and ensure replacements are provided.
- Handle cash or billing procedures as required, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
Cargo-Specific Tasks:
- Follow safety protocols strictly, including the use of PPE.
- Handle pharmaceutical shipments per EU GDP regulations when assigned.
✅ Job Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity:
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift and move items over 30kgs.
- Ability to read and understand basic English instructions and safety protocols.
