Role Overview
As a Travel Consultant, you will be a front-line team member working as part of a 24/7 operation, delivering high-quality and consistent travel services. The role focuses on converting customer enquiries into confirmed sales while ensuring an exceptional customer experience across multiple communication channels, including retail counters, phone calls, WhatsApp, and email. You will be responsible for selling airline tickets, travel-related products, and providing accurate travel information, while proactively supporting customers with bookings, amendments, disruptions, and general travel queries.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Deliver the highest standard of customer service to Retail, Corporate, and Government clients
- Respond to all customer enquiries promptly and professionally across all platforms
- Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers while maintaining brand communication standards
- Sell airline tickets, travel products, and dnata-contracted services
- Provide destination knowledge and ensure travel products meet customer needs
- Maximize revenue through cross-selling and up-selling ancillary products such as tours, activities, and excursions
- Inform customers about passport, visa, insurance, and health requirements
- Support customers during disruptions and ensure effective service recovery
- Maintain ongoing relationships by updating clients on new products and services
- Handle all customer interactions with a friendly, solution-oriented, “can-do” attitude
- Achieve and exceed sales and service KPIs while adhering to audit and customer feedback standards
Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate:
- Experience in Sales, Reservations, Ticketing, Travel & Tourism, or Customer Service
- Strong understanding of exceptional customer experience and service excellence
- Confident communication skills with persuasive and influencing ability
- Ability to perform in a busy sales and service environment
- High attention to detail and accountability
- Strong listening skills to understand and anticipate customer needs
- IT literacy and the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to continuously develop
