A reputable organization in the UAE is currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) professional to join its finance team. Role Overview

The Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable position plays a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring timely supplier payments, and supporting smooth coordination with banks and internal departments. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and compliance with internal authority matrices and accounting policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and accurately book supplier invoices in the accounting system
  • Process trust receipt applications and submit them for approval and signature as per the authority matrix
  • Follow up trust receipt documents with banks and record related payments once processed
  • Process import Letter of Credit (LC) applications and submit them for approval and signature
  • Follow up LC documentation with banks and book related payments after completion
  • Coordinate with bank relationship managers and trade finance teams to expedite requests and resolve banking issues related to suppliers
  • Create and amend supplier accounts in the ERP database
  • Post all payment vouchers accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely payments to local and international suppliers
  • Reconcile supplier statements with the company ledger on a regular basis
  • Prepare payments, print cheques, and submit them for approval and signature according to the authority matrix
  • Monitor supplier advance payments and ensure advances are properly adjusted against invoices
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries from suppliers and internal departments regarding billing, payments, and account balances
  • Assist in monthly and yearly closing activities related to accounts payable

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable role
  • Strong knowledge of supplier accounting, AP/AR processes, and trade finance operations
  • Hands-on experience handling trust receipts, Letters of Credit, and bank coordination
  • Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software
  • Good understanding of internal controls, authority matrices, and financial procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with banks, suppliers, and internal teams
