Purpose of the Job
The primary purpose of the Airport Agent – Cargo is to safely and efficiently load and unload passenger baggage and freight onto and from aircraft in line with the Container Pallet Message (CPM) or Load Instruction Report (LIR).
Key objectives include:
- Supporting smooth and on-time aircraft turnarounds
- Maintaining high performance standards within airline service level agreements
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards and company policies
Key Responsibilities – Airside & Cargo Operations
- Assist the Team Leader with smooth and efficient aircraft turnarounds
- Load and unload baggage and cargo accurately as per CPM or LIR
- Follow Team Leader instructions to meet customer airline requirements
- Perform tie-down procedures in line with IATA guidelines
- Collect and dispose of Foreign Object Debris (F.O.D.) correctly
- Complete daily operational and reporting forms accurately
- Handle airline and company property with care to prevent damage
Safety, Security, and Compliance
- Adhere to all Health & Safety rules and company policies
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or practices
- Follow Airport Notices, company instructions, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure airport security standards are maintained at all times
- Escort staff on temporary passes when required
- Maintain professional conduct, uniform, and grooming standards
Operational Support Duties
- Perform wingman and passenger escort duties as required
- Work flexibly across different operational areas based on workload
- Support team discipline, performance, and operational continuity
- Carry out additional tasks assigned to ensure smooth operations
Airport Agent – Loader Responsibilities
- Collect and load gate-checked items onto the aircraft
- Unload and deliver items to the gate lounge or aircraft side efficiently
- Coordinate with ramp teams to ensure timely handling
Porterage Responsibilities
- Safely transport passenger luggage to designated locations
- Securely handle baggage for arriving and departing passengers
- Inform passengers of applicable charges and ensure accurate fee collection
- Promote Hala products including wrapping and quick check-in services
- Convert passenger enquiries into sales in a professional and discreet manner
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
